Rugby - Home of the Great Game

Keith's conscience was pricked this morning when we were helped down the Hillmorton locks by two C&RT volunteers as he should have been on duty on the Bath flight today. Oh well, the pay will be the same!
Today's mission was to visit the Webb Ellis Rugby Football Museum in Rugby. We moored up at the appropriate bridge to enable us to catch the bus into town. Lo and behold, we moored up next to a boat named Rosie. This boat is owned and much loved by Roy and Audrey who are fellow BCF members whom we last saw on our maiden voyage at Cambrian Wharf in Birmingham in 2010.

After sharing some time with them we caught the No4 into town and quickly found the museum.

Not the fittest of players!

Rugby is featured all over the city, even in bridge holes.

It is an intensely hot and muggy day in town today so we caught the bus back to the boat and set off for another beautiful mooring and are now cooling off with a bottle of beer from the fridge.
